not to be a freak but as i've been researching for my summer work, the more i've been reflecting on [anglo-american/upper class/dominant power fill in the blank] cultural attitudes towards relationships and interiority/introspection/"character focus" and fandom behavior/production. i don't have the words (or time LOL...) for this yet but hopefully i can write my thoughts out on this soon.
